Innovative Dynamic Networks

Structured / data cabling

Bad cabling kills gigabit networks — even on brand-new equipment.

IDN installs TIA-certified Cat 6 structured cabling for commercial buildings in Racine and SE Wisconsin, so your network performs the way you paid for it to.

What you get

A cable plant that performs the way you paid for it to — and proves it on paper.

IDN designs, installs, certifies, and documents commercial structured cabling across SE Wisconsin — gigabit headroom, a 15-year foundation, and a printed report on every run, from the same company that manages everything running on it.

Gigabit-ready

Cat 6 built past spec, not just to it — full signal margin on every run.

10–15 year lifespan

Re-cable once a decade, not every few years chasing failures.

Certified & documented

Wire map, NEXT, length — tested on every run and printed at close.

We design before we pull a single run.

Choosing the category

Cat 6 costs a little more now — and far less later.

The install premium for Cat 6 over Cat 5e is rounding error next to what it costs to rip out and re-cable a building that outgrew its wiring.

In the field

What this looks like on a real job.

Healthcare clinic · Kenosha County
The situation

A multi-provider clinic opening a second location. The GC's low-voltage guy quoted Cat 5e — no testing, no documentation, no permits.

What IDN did

IDN quoted Cat 6, full TIA-568 certification, a printed test report per run, and as-built drawings — 12% higher. The clinic chose IDN.

0
failed runs, 18 months on

They added VoIP phones and PoE cameras throughout — not one failed run, and the certified report satisfied their compliance audit.

Why IDN

Not a cable crew you hire once. The vendor that runs it after.

IDN certifies your cable plant — then manages the IT, VoIP, cameras, and access control that ride on it. One company accountable for the foundation and everything on top of it.

Common questions

Common questions

The cabling

Yes. Every run is tested for wire map, NEXT, attenuation, and length to TIA-568, and you receive a printed certification report per run at project close.

Cat 6 handles gigabit with strong margin for most offices. Cat 6A is worth it for 10-gig runs, dense PoE, or long horizontal runs. We spec the right one during design, before anything is pulled.

The whole plant — cable-plant design, Cat 6 horizontal cabling, telecom-room and IDF build-out, patch panels, certification testing, and as-built documentation.
